Aaron Lawee

Aaron Lawee has been practicing immigration law since graduating from law school in 2010. He is a Senior Associate at Minsky, McCormick & Hallagan, P.C., where he has worked since 2019. His practice focuses on removal defense and family-based immigration, including family-based petitions, waivers, adjustments of status, and Naturalization applications. His practice also includes asylum, U-visas, and VAWA self-petitions. During law school, Aaron interned at Asylum Access in Quito Ecuador, as well as several nonprofits in the Washington D.C. area, including Ayuda, Capital Area Immigrants' Rights Coalition, and the Migrant Legal Action Program. Aaron has co-chaired the AILA Chicago Chapter Litigation Committee for several years, has served on a variety of government liaison committees, and also serves as an AILA Mentor. One of his favorite parts of the week is getting to spend an hour with the incredible and inspiring staff at Beyond Legal Aid.
