Denise Zamora

Denise joined Beyond’s Community Empowerment Team (CET) in 2026, bringing over 2 years of experience in the library realm serving community members across Lake County, IL. She graduated in 2025 from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside with a degree in Political Science, as well as a minor in Criminal Justice. As a proud daughter of immigrant parents, Denise’s commitment to advocacy and community drives her work to support Beyond’s mission of community rooted justice and change.

Outside of work, she spends her free time thrifting, reading, and petting her cat, Zelda.
